The patient is a 53-old male with a history of T12 paraplegia after a gunshot wound eleven years prior to this study with chronic decubiti who is referred for evaluation of osteomyelitis.

Increased tracer activity is noted in the head of the right femur.

Increased tracer activity is noted in the middle third of the posterior aspect of the left thigh.

1. Abnormal tracer activity is noted in the right femoral head. This is consistent with an active inflammatory or infectious process in this region.

2. Increased tracer activity in the posterior aspect of the left thigh most likely represents soft tissue infection or inflammation.
