The patient is a 17 year-old female with a history of metastatic papillary thyroid cancer with bilateral lung metastases, status post thyroidectomy in one year prior to this study followed by radio adjuvant ablation therapy with 150 mCi and recent ablation therapy with 100 mCi one week prior to this scan.

Intensely increased diffuse tracer activity is identified in bilateral lung fields.

Otherwise, no other abnormally increased tracer activity is noted in the remainder of the body.

Diffuse and intensely increased tracer activity in bilateral lung fields are known pulmonary metastasis.
